Resumen
Presentamos los primeros registros de Bangsia arcaei y Chrysothlypis chrysomelas para Colombia, documentados con fotografías y especímenes. Las dos especies se registraron en muestreos realizados en 2008 en el bosque montano (por encima de los 1200 m de altitud) del flanco oriental del Cerro Takarkuna en la Serranía del Darién (Municipio de Unguía, Departamento del Chocó). Individuos de ambas especies se observaron en bandadas mixtas de dosel y subdosel. Estos nuevos registros no sólo amplían su área de distribución, antes reportada desde Costa Rica hasta Panamá, sino que evidencian la falta de conocimiento de la avifauna de las elevaciones altas de la Serranía del Darién en Colombia.
